Military agreements between Turkey and Qatar

On Tuesday, the Qatari Ministry of Defense announced the signing of new cooperation agreements with Turkey at the conclusion of the third meeting of the Joint Military High Committee, which lasted 3 days.
The ministry said, in a statement, that the closing day of the meeting, “witnessed the signing of several bilateral cooperation agreements, in the presence of a number of senior officers in the Qatari and Turkish armed forces.”
The ministry did not provide details about the content of these agreements.
She indicated that the closing meeting was preceded by two-day preparatory meetings, chaired on the Qatari side by Abdulaziz Saleh Al-Sulaiti, head of the International Military Cooperation Authority, and on the Turkish side, Hakan Chanli, head of the Foreign Relations Department at the Ministry of Defense.
She added that during the meetings, “plans for bilateral cooperation between the two sides and ways to enhance and develop them were discussed.”
